Shiny worlds: Winter in the Rauris Valley
Winter has come overnight. The grey autumn colours have made space for the wonderful white mountains and snowed-in forests and meadows. The first traces in fresh powder snow seem as if drawn on cotton. Further down in the valley there are still some small clouds, on the mountain the sunlight refracts in thousands of small ice crystals - there is no better start to a winter day!"
In the Hohe Tauern Nature Park, surrounded by the imposing mountain massif of the Goldberg Mountain Group and under the "patronage" of the Großglockner, you’ll find our Rauris Valley. Here you can combine any winter sports that you could think of. Adventurous skiers, snowboarders and cross-country skiers can enjoy their winter experience far away from crowded slopes, without any stress, but with professional and individual care. Queues and crowded slopes are unknown. Moonlight sledging, ice climbing, guided snow-shoe hikes, ski tours to the solar observatory with Europe's highest weather station or one of the surrounding summits are highlights amongst individualists. Movement and activities in crystal-clear mountain air combined with hearty hospitality makes every winter fairytale come true.
